SotD: Switchfoot - Let That Be Enough

Posted by: Lilo Lale on: November 1, 2007

This week has been crazy. So, it only made sense that I post a new song of the day. This song has special meaning to me because I love it. I love Switchfoot. Have for a while. Anyway, I always think about it around the time of my birthday because of the lyrics in the second verse. I even changed the lyrics posted here to fit me. Because it is, after-all, all about me. :-)

So my birthday is tomorrow, and it’s going to be a long day. That pretty much sums up everything about this week. Long. I’m not in the best mood today. I’m not in a bad mood. I’m just not happy. :-/

Here’s a live performance in Houston! I wouldn’t mind seeing them in concert.

Wish I had what I needed
To be on my own
‘Cause I feel so defeated
And I’m feeling alone

And it all seems so hopeless
And I have no plans
I’m a plane in the sunset
With nowhere to land

And all I see
It could never make me happy
And all my sand castles spend their time collapsing

chorus:
Let me know that you hear me
Let me know your touch
Let me know that you love me
Let that be enough

It’s my birthday tomorrow
No one here could know
I was born this Thursday Friday
22 26 years ago

And I feel stuck watching history repeating
Yeah who am I just a kid who knows he’s needy

chorus (2x):
Let me know that you hear me
Let me know your touch
Let me know that you love me
Let that be enough

[...] Well, I forgot that they played “Let That Be Enough” by Switchfoot in the movie until I heard it. It was the song of the day on Nov 1st. [...]
